In case any of you have been reading the news and were worried, we are fine after this afternoon's earthquake. It was felt here where we are by a lot of people, but Chris and I did not even feel it at all. We were in a cab when it occured and I guess that is why we didn't feel anything.
We have talked with some of our friends from Chengdu. No one seems hurt or injured, though some peoples' homes did get cracked walls, broken light fixtures, etc. We will keep you updated if there is anything to update, but at where we are we had no problems, other than some people feeling tremors. More in a little bit about hong dou...

so glad you are ok, but I was hoping for more news about #2!
Felt the earthquake here too - a little freaky, but not nearly as strong as our friends in CD.
It was good to see Austin on the webcam tonight. It was quite a treat, as I don't get to do it that much.
I regret that I'm not going to be able to come visit you all this summer, but perhaps sometime next year when (or if) airline fares ever become lower.
I may be able to help with the child wheelchair thing. I might know someone who works for a medical equipment supply company here in the states. Let me check and get back to you. BTW...I saw in the news here in the U.S. that Samaritan's Purse was flying a huge cargo jet out of Charlotte, loaded with supplies for Sichuan earthquake victims. The people of Sichuan have been, and will continue to be, in my prayers.
